Teachers, here are some helpful resources for you. They include lesson ideas and materials that could be used in the classroom. It would probably be useful for you to check out the links I have provided for the students on the Media Specialist Approved Websites page. Also, stop by the library to see our media collection. From audio-recordings to DVDs, see what you can use to enrich your students' learning experience.

• Virtual Instrument Museum- photos, audio, and video of instruments from around the world
• Understanding Science- activities, tools, and tips for science
• Kids Astronomy- a kid friendly website with games, photos, fun facts, and animations 
• Wired For Books - has interviews, audio, and more about various literature
• Kids.gov- This is a government site for kids with a lot of useful information about many topics
• Smithsonian Education- lesson plans, websites, and more from the Smithsonian.
• Schmoop- offers study guides on a range of subjects
• Class Tools - allows you to build your own video games to go along with content. Very easy to use!
• Soft Schools - has many worksheets, lesson plans, and games for students of all ages and every subject area
• Teacher's Domain- offers a number of videos and lesson plans to go along with them
• Rubistar- offers assistance in creating rubrics for various types of assessments.
